The mirror did most of the work
I kept coming back to the mirror because it changed the way I moved in front of the camera.
The blue set is simple, so the photographs became more about angles than details. I could shift one shoulder, lift an arm, turn sideways, or change the position of one leg and the whole frame felt different. The phone staying visible makes the pictures feel more immediate too. They are clearly self-portraits, not photographs pretending someone else was in the room.
I also like how clean the surroundings are. White walls, pale flooring, very little distraction. That leaves the blue to carry most of the colour while the jewellery, watch and small tattoos become the details you notice later.
Some sets need a complicated backdrop. This one worked better with almost nothing around it.
