Question
Help Choosing Sleepwear for My Partner Who Runs Hot and Cold
My partner has the weirdest temperature regulation. They start the night freezing cold and end up throwing covers off by 3am in a sweat. Finding sleepwear that works for BOTH extremes has been our white whale.
What We Have Tried
- Flannel PJs: Too hot by midnight, wakes up drenched
- Cotton T-shirt and boxers: Too cold to fall asleep
- Nothing: Falls asleep cold, wakes up confused
- Bamboo PJs from Target: Best so far but still not great
What I Am Considering
- Lunya Washable Silk ($198) - Everyone says silk regulates temp. But will it keep them warm enough at the start of the night?
- Cozy Earth Bamboo ($120) - Similar temp regulation claims.
- Sheex Performance Sleepwear ($80) - Athletic fabric that claims to adapt to body temperature.
Budget
Willing to go up to $200 if it actually solves the problem. We have wasted more than that on failed attempts already.
Additional Context
- They sleep in a 68-degree room
- We use a medium-weight down comforter
- They are a side sleeper
- Size: Men's large, if that matters for brand recs
Has anyone dealt with this same hot-cold cycle? What worked for you?
