Lise Charmel

Jewelry is the easiest way to describe a Lise Charmel bra: rhinestones at the center gore, crystal drops, embroidery that climbs from cup to strap. The Lyon company sells them in the US through its own website, and its bras cost about $189 to $253 on the American site in October 2026.

It also sells loungewear, nightdresses, swimwear and beach cover-ups, but the bras are the reason most people know the name.

Three Lise Charmel lines from autumn 2026

Lise Charmel works in seasonal collections, each made in a handful of matching shapes: demi cup, full cup, a padded contour cup, a three-part full cup, a wire-free bra or a triangle. Picking a line is mostly a choice of decoration; picking a shape within it is the fit decision.

Eclat Joaillerie

The name means "jewelry sparkle", and the bras are the most decorated of the season. The demi cup has a scalloped embroidered neckline and a matching panel at the lower cup. Below the center gore, a lace underband dips to show a small tulle triangle set with a teardrop rhinestone, and guipure motifs on the straps fade out as they rise. In October 2026 the line ran from $224 for the demi cup and full cup to $253 for a demi cup with padding.

Splendeur Soie

This is the silk line. The fabric on the demi cup is about a quarter silk (23%), overlaid with embroidered tulle, and the cup has horizontal seams for a round shape. Thin adjustable straps, a satin bow and a Swarovski crystal at the gore finish it. The demi cup was $196 and the wire-free version $189, the lowest bra prices of the three lines.

Bain de Nature

A printed mesh with multicolored embroidery along the edge, in a green the site calls vert parme. Its wire-free bra uses darted soft cups, a jewel at the gore and three-rhinestone motifs on each strap, at $200. The underwired versions ran $209 to $224.

A size grid that pairs small bands with small cups

The US size guide is a single grid, and it is more revealing than most. It lists US bands from 28 to 52 and cups from A to G, with DD equal to E and DDD equal to F. But it does not offer every pairing:

• Bands 28 and 30 show only A and B cups.
• A 32 reaches DD, and a 34 reaches DDD.
• G appears from band 36 upward, and the largest bands, 44 to 52, start at DD.

So a 30DD or a 32G has no row in the chart at all. Anyone with a small band and a fuller cup will struggle here, while a larger band with a D cup or above is better served than at many French labels. The grid describes the brand's full span; a given style may come in fewer sizes, and the product pages checked did not list them, so the size picker is the place to confirm.

The guide gives measurement ranges in inches for each band and cup, which makes it easy to cross-check against a reading from the bra size calculator. Lise Charmel publishes no notes on whether particular styles run small or large.

Prices and buying in the US

Delivery on the US site was free from $400 in October 2026, which with these prices means a bra and one or two matching briefs. The site also sells gift cards and offers gift boxing.

Two other French houses covered here, Simone Perele and Aubade, publish their own size grids, and comparing them is quicker than assuming a French size carries over from one label to the next.

The company behind it

Lise Charmel began in the 1950s in La Croix-Rousse, a hillside district of Lyon. Jacques Daumal bought it in 1975 and was still its president in the most recent account. The group also runs Antigel (launched in 1999 for a younger customer), Antinea, Eprise, which goes up to a G cup, and Epure, a plainer line launched in 2011. It opened a boutique at Harrods in London in late 2018. In 2017 the company reported 40 employees and revenue of about €6.3 million. A cyberattack pushed it into court-supervised receivership in February 2020, and its headquarters are on rue Saint-Pierre-de-Vaise in Lyon.
